Networking isn’t just for computers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As Francis G\u00e9linas of couleur.tv<\/a> explains, Xn Qu\u00e9bec initiates \u201ca lot of networking and information days\u201d. For mirari<\/a>‘s Thomas Payette, these networking activities are essential. He notes that Xn Qu\u00e9bec sees itself as a group where we can \u201cforge links between each of the companies, between creators and producers, so that we can grow and move forward\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every spring, Xn Qu\u00e9bec organizes the prestigious PRIX NUMIX<\/a> competition. \u201cIt’s an important event for peer recognition and the promotion of Quebec works,\u201d observes Hamie Robitaille. What’s more, as Thomas Payette reminds us, this event \u201callows the general public to discover what we do\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Xn Qu\u00e9bec also makes sure that Quebec creators get noticed in other markets. This is why the NUMIX LAB<\/a> was created. My first NUMIX LAB will always be engraved in my heart,\u201d says Philippe Belhumeur of Studio Normal<\/a>. I met people who were open to making the world of digital experience evolve.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same vein, let’s highlight the activities of L’Effet Qu\u00e9bec<\/a>. Initiated by Xn Qu\u00e9bec, this hub of export expertise aims to provide producers of digital experiences with the tools they need to market their products outside the province. To this end, market analyses, case studies and strategic intelligence are published on its website. \u201c The study on immersive experiences<\/a> carried out with Habo gave us a better understanding of our industry,\u201d confirms Hamie Robitaille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’Effet Qu\u00e9bec also coordinates delegations of Quebec creators who take part in various international events and festivals, such as South by Southwest in Austin, the KIKK festival in Namur and Sunny Side of the Doc in La Rochelle, to name but a few.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Common challenges<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Xn Qu\u00e9bec also helps the community to recognize its needs, define its priorities and take concrete action to achieve its objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were approached by Xn Qu\u00e9bec to present an immersive show we had created for a museum in Shawinigan,\u201d recalls Philippe Belhumeur. That’s when I really discovered that we weren’t the only ones facing challenges, and that together we’d be stronger. When I came back the next day, we were members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thomas Payette agrees. \u201cXn Qu\u00e9bec is a community that’s dynamic, that wants to move forward, that wants to build, but intelligently. We ask ourselves a lot of questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Xn Summit aims to do just that. At this latest event, we were able to set aside some time to question ourselves together about the issues of tomorrow,\u201d explains Hamie Robitaille. Various players in the field (both emerging and established) laid the foundations on which our industry will be able to project itself into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Xn Qu\u00e9bec also strives to keep its members informed of everything that’s happening in the world of creative and cultural industries. To this end, we have developed active and relevant communications tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI read all your newsletters <\/a>carefully – I don’t read all the newsletters I receive! – and I find all the information I need,\u201d says Francis G\u00e9linas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Training is also at the heart of Xn Qu\u00e9bec’<\/a>s member services<\/a>. Thanks to partnerships with Synth\u00e8se, INIS and the \u00c9cole des dirigeants HEC Montr\u00e9al, Xn members have access to high-quality courses at very reasonable prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
