It’s no secret, but it’s always good to be reminded: Quebec’s digital production sector shines with dynamism, creativity and originality. The sheer volume of players in this ecosystem, the number and diversity of productions, the wide variety of technologies explored, make the province a superb showcase for the very best in digital creativity. <\/p>\n\n

This know-how is regularly recognized by international industry professionals, both in the many collaborations offered to Quebec creators, and in the numerous awards presented to Quebec productions. This year, a number of Quebec projects stood out in the most prestigious international competitions.<\/p>\n\n

CODAwards<\/h2>\n\n

Many Quebec projects were honored this year! Starting with the fabulous River Lines<\/a>, developed by Montreal studio Daily tous les jours<\/a> for HIP Developments, grand winner of the CODAwards “Landscape” category in 2024. Installed in the city of Cambridge, Ontario, this project offers passers-by an interactive floor for the collective creation of sound and visual works. <\/p>\n\n

In the Public Spaces category, Moment Factory<\/a> won for its Hub Cr\u00e9atif<\/a> project at 1001 Robert-Bourassa in Montreal, an immersive, interactive lobby combining sound, video, light and reactive projections.<\/p>\n\n

For its part, the Horizon<\/a> project, produced by Init<\/a> and powered by Creos<\/a> in 2023 in the town of St-Bruno de Montarville, earned a place in the CODAwards Top 100. Horizon is a poetic, immersive outdoor installation featuring luminous, enveloping “cocoons” inviting serenity and calm. New-York Radio Festival Awards 2024<\/h2>\n\n

The New-York Radio Festival Awards 2024 also saw an exceptional crop of prizes for Quebec podcast creators this year. These included a Gold Award in the “Musical Program” category for the production “Entre Carole et Lewis<\/a>” (Radio-Canada, Ici Musique), a Silver Award in the “Interview” category for the program “Janette Bertrand et ses perles de sagesse<\/a>” (Radio-Canada) and a Bronze Award in the “Documentary Podcast” category for the superb project “R\u00e9sistance<\/a>” (Radio-Canada). The latter production also won the Prix Numix <\/a>in 2023 in the “Podcast – History, Culture and Science” category. <\/p>\n\n
