Montreal, December 10, 2025 \u2014<\/strong> Xn Qu\u00e9bec, the Association of Digital Experience Producers, welcomes the passage of Bill 108<\/a>, a major step forward that modernizes the SODEC Act and officially recognizes digital creativity as one of the disciplines supported by the SODEC. This legislative update marks a decisive step in the recognition and institutional support of this sector and represents a pivotal moment for this rapidly growing industry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long-Awaited Recognition<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The official inclusion of digital creativity among the disciplines officially supported by SODEC is a welcome acknowledgment. It recognizes the unique nature of creative work and the business models of companies in the sector, while granting them a role in the governance of the state-owned corporation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For several years now, SODEC has been acting as a strategic partner<\/strong> for the sector, notably through the Programme d\u2019aide aux producteurs d\u2019exp\u00e9riences num\u00e9riques launched in 2023, and through initiatives such as SODEXPORT, which support companies\u2019 international expansion. The formal recognition of the digital client base thus marks a necessary step that reflects the sector\u2019s maturity and importance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Financial tools better suited to the realities of the field<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bill 108 also provides for changes to SODEC\u2019s Banque d’affaires<\/strong> which will make it possible to offer tailored financial instruments to support businesses at every stage of their development. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
