Immersion through interaction

Ottomata is an experiential design studio specializing in the creation of headset-free immersive experiences. While the word "immersion" is frequently used in our industry, it is automatically associated with virtual reality headsets. At Ottomata, we strive to move away from this device. We work in public spaces and attempt, through various other technological combinations, to bring collaborative and collective experiences to life for our audiences. By utilizing diverse technologies such as architectural projections, show lasers, holographic processes, and motion capture, we are able to place people at the center of the narrative and engage them in a rich and exciting way. All of these collective experiences align with our core vision: bringing people back into the present moment.
