2018 XN FORUM: RESULTS OF OUR COLLECTIVE AND PARTICIPATORY INITIATIVE
February 25, 2019From November 5 to 7, 2018, digital ecosystem players took part in the second edition of the collaborative work lab known as Xn Forum. The forum was held at Digihub in Shawinigan and drew more than 200 attendees from various digital industry sectors who engaged in lively discussion.
The cross-border nature of the main topic of discussion, which focused on leveraging globalisation to foster French-language culture and creativity, drew participants from around the world. The Forum welcomed fifteen or so guests from French-speaking European and African nations, who took part in workshops and short presentations held throughout the event. Forum attendees, who were divided into twelve work groups, pondered the current digital creativity-related challenges facing the international Francophone community. Following the discussion workshops, each group presented a recommendation as part of a plenary session.
These recommendations, along with the discussion points that led to them, are contained in the executive report. Many of these recommendations will be implemented by Xn Québec through new initiatives and by Quebec’s hub for the arts and digital creativity.
